I am a therapeutic coach who helps highly sensitive introverts befriend their personality and move from a place of pain to power with grief, trauma, chronic pain & fatigue.

I work in an integrative way that is

Trauma-sensitive, Polyvagal-informed, Body-based, and HSP- and Introvert-friendly.

It is hard for us highly sensitives to thrive and be well in a world that is not made for us. But it is even harder when we add trauma, loss and grief to the mix.

We often cannot simply shake it off and move on.

These remnants of trauma tend to show up whenever we actively seek change (even positive change). They are held in our bodies as deeply protective places and do whatever they can to resist change. As you may know, we cannot torture these parts of us into submission and affect change by force and will-power.

Focusing, which lies at the heart of my approach, is based on research into the very essence of what is happening when people change. It is a body-mind awareness method that allows us to meet all of us, including these resisting parts, with compassion and acceptance.

Such radical self-acceptance opens up a space in us where deep healing, new possibilities and forward movement can emerge.

Focusing helps us find freedom from old emotional patterns, stay centred and grounded in safety, make decisions from the heart and head at the same time, and become more and more self-compassionate.

This is NOT therapy

You could call it ‘Focusing-oriented’ coaching.

I like to call it Embodied therapeutic coaching.

Embodied Therapeutic Coaching is a process of exploration and self-discovery that leads to profound, effective empowerment and transformation.

It is practical, has immediate effects, and is rooted in the present, with an eye to the future.

The emphasis of this work is on supporting people to reconnect to themselves, regain their vitality and find their place in life once more.

Even though its primary focus is not on our past wounding, as it is in talk therapy or specialised trauma therapy, it often shows up in a coaching space and needs to be addressed to be able to move forward.

I’m very attuned to the discomfort of emotional healing and supporting clients through that.  Healing from my trauma wounds has required me to go to some very dark places.

Whenever such things raise their heads, we slow right down and see what needs to happen to process these emotional blocks and patterns. I provide a secure emotional container, so that you’re safely held.

If you need specialised trauma therapy, I may be able to point you to a more suitable service.
